Gantry Plaza State Park

East River Waterfront Park and Plaza was designed for Queens West Development Corporation by Weintraub di Domenico and Thomas Balsley Associates. Billie Cohen ltd. was responsible for all planting plans for the park, including extensive salt-tolerant upland and tidal wetland plantings. The plantings articulate a variety of spaces from the formal plaza to natural areas, including a bosque of shade trees and perennial gardens that transition smoothly to coastal vegetation.
